com.company.appname. - Avoid using trademarks unless you own them.
- Once a package name is used on Play Store, it can never be used again, even if the app is deleted.
How to use the Google Play Package Name Checker
Every Android app on Google Play is identified by a unique package name (applicationId) such as com.company.appname. Once an app is published, that name is permanently tied to it and cannot be reused. This tool checks Google Play in real time so you can pick a free name before you start building.
- Type the package name you plan to use, for example com.company.appname.
- Click Check. The tool asks Google Play whether a public listing exists for that name.
- Available means no public app uses the name. Taken means an app already exists; open its listing and choose another name.
- Set the chosen name as applicationId in your app's build.gradle before the first upload to Play Console.
